Pepper Coast Mag, formerly called Pepper Coast Lit seeks to give attention to brave new voices from Liberia and outside of Liberia. It was founded in 2022 by Jeremy Teddy Karn and Ayouba Toure with immense help from Pamilerin Jacob.
Our Mission
To amplify young voices from within and outside of Africa.
To inspire a new generation of creators and thinkers.
To reclaim and reframe African stories for the world.
What We Do
Publish bold and original content by emerging and established writers, artists, and visionaries.
Spotlight African culture and history with a modern, global perspective.
Create space for authentic conversations around society, identity, and creativity.
Build a community of changemakers who believe in the power of storytelling.
Pepper Coast Mag has become a central platform for Liberian literary expression. By highlighting voices from Liberia, we contribute to preserving and promoting the country’s rich literary heritage while nurturing its future talents. Through features, interviews, and special projects, we create space for Liberian writers to reach wider audiences and participate in global conversations about literature, culture, and social change.
