LONELINESS
it is how silence strolls in like a gentleman, after the noise.
pulls off its coat & hangs it on the door's edge:
suddenly, every single thing around shares a piece
of quietness; the way you carefully empty the jug
of water
into a cup.
the soft, creaking sound it makes.
the gentle gallop of your throat, as you
gulp..
gulp.
Gulp.
