Pepper Coast Library Project intends to promote the reading culture in Liberia by making books available to young people and students. 

Since last year, Pepper Coast Inc. has been working to get as many books as possible into Liberia to set up a semi standard library Monrovia where students will be able to access them. Pepper Coast Inc.’s members who are studying in the United States in Europe have been buying used books from public libraries and thrift bookstores and receiving donations for some.  In total, Pepper Coast Inc. has accumulated over 4,000 books, which include children's books. To establish its first semi library by the end of 2026, Pepper Coast Inc. plans to make more available to Liberian children. This will allow us to start reading clubs and programs in Monrovia schools and then move to cities outside of Monrovia, as well as hosting reading contests, spelling bees, poetry contests, and short story contests for high school students.
